Ground method - Cart
What is necessary:
- The InfoHUD
- The fishing pole of the type Gramur UNI
- The line 0.22mm
- The ground cart 15gr
- The Bite Detector
- The Bite Alarm
- The Bankstick
- The corn bait - BaitBox (Corn / Kukurydza)
- The universal groundbait 1kg
- The bucket
Putting the bankstick:
Put the bankstick so that its font part would be directed into water. You can recognise the front side of the bankstick by the root primie.
Assembling the set:
- Put the InfoHUD on
- Put the fishing pole of the type Gramur UNI on
- Put the line and the cart on the ground
Attaching the line
Now you have to attach the line to the fising pole. While holding the fising pole, click on the line (1) and write in the local chat the command /naw (2)
in time no longer than 10 seconds from the clicking. If the command is done right, in the local chat should appear the information about winding the line around the reel. (3). A whole opearion looks as follows:
You should attach the line once in a while. After some time it will lose its durability. Only then you should change it. To detach the line, write the command /odw in the local chat while holding a fishing pole in your hand. The durability of the line can be checked by clicking yellow inscription test on the InfoHUD..
ATTENTION! set the brake of the reel by writing in the local chat the command /h
Attaching the end line
When the line is attached to the fishing pole, there is time for the end line(in this case - the cart). The cart should be attached to the fishing pole like the line:
Click on the cart (1), then write a command /doc in the local chat(2). When the operation is done right, in the local chat should appear the inforamtion about that (3), on the InfoHUD will appear the information about the end line (3), and the cart will be attached with a fising pole by means of the line (3).
From now the cart will be attached to you and will follow you. When you finish fishing, you have to (!) dismantle the cart and hide it in your inventory.
To dismantle the cart, write in the local chat the command /odc while holding a fishing pole.
Installation of the Bite Detector and the Bite Alarm on the the bankstic:
Click on the Bite Detector (1), and then on the bankstick (2). Do the same with the Bite Alarm.
Setting the bankstick for a fishing pole:
While holding a fishing pole in your hand, click on it with the left mouse button (1), Choose 1 from the menu (2), then click on the bankstick (3)
How to put the fishing pole on the bankstick?:
While holding the fishing pole in your hand, click on it with the right mouse button and choose Drop (1). Your avatar should drop the fishing pole which will jump on the bankstick (2).
For attaching the fishing pole to your avatar again, click on the fishing pole (which is on the bankstick) with the left mouse button (3) and accept the request (4), the fishing pole should be again attached to your avatar's hand (5).
Preparing the groundbait:
This is the simplest universal groundbait, you can find more about mixing the most suitable groundbaits in a separate article.
Put the bucket and the universal groundbait 1kg on the ground. Click on the groundbait (1), write the command: /add 1000 in the local chat(2) and click on the bucket (3). The groundbait should appear in the bucket (4). The number 1000 signifies the ammount of the groundbait which you put in the bucket. In this example, we put a whole 1kg pack (1000gr).
Loading the cart with the groundbait:
Click on the bucket with the left mouse button (1) then click on the cart (2), you will see a confirmation of adding the groundbait in the local chat (3).
Putting a bait on
Click on the BaitBox (Corn/Kukurydza) (a jar with corn) (1), then click on the cart (2).
After you put the bait on correctly, in local chat should appear the information about it and on the InfoHUD will appear the name of the bait and the icon of the bait you put on (3).
Operating on the fishing pole
You can operate on the fishing pole in section sterowanie on the InfoHUD.
You can see here 5 abbreviations and you can set values for 4 of them. Explanation:
/r - throw – it throws the set with fixed strength in the direction that avatar looks at.
/z - winding – wind the set with fixed velocity.
/g - ground – it sets the distance between the float and the hook in metres (it works only while using this method of fishing)
/h - brake – it sets the brake of the reel in kilogrammes (it works only with fishing poles with reels, the brake should be set below the line’s durability)
/t - cut – it cuts the fish while biting. (in the case of BAT/POLE type fishing poles – so without a reel, the cut results in pulling the set out the water)
Fishing!
Come up close to the water, look with your avatar in the direction you want to place your set (1), using + and – buttons set /r to 10 (2), approve it to throw the set (3).
After the throw is done right, the cart will fly into the water (1).
ATTENTION! While the end line (here the cart) is in the water, the name and the icon of the bait is not shown on the InfoHUD (2), so to check if there is a bait on the hook you should take the set out of the water.
The fishing pole on the bankstick!
Now put a fishing pole on the bankstick (right mouse button > Drop). Bite Detector will be hung on the line (1) and you should wait for a bite...
After some time......
The bite!
When the set is in the water, you can expect the bite. 5 seconds before the bite you will get the information about it. In the local chat appears a word Bite! (1) and above the Bite Detector and Alarm an inscription Bite Here! will blink (2). You should immediately click on the fishing pole to take it in your hand, but not accept the request yet (3). Wait for the real bite.
After 5 seconds real fish bite will take place. You should watch the Bite Detector (1) and when you suppose that in this moment fish can have a hook in its mouth (for example the Bite Detector will go up close to the fishing pole), you should accept the request (2), your avatar will catch the fishing pole and cut the fish. The Bite Alarm is signalising the bite with sound and light (3).
When you are successful in cutting the fish, you will see the information about that in the local chat (1). It is possible that you will lose the fish during towing it, an information about that will also appear in the local chat. When you have the fish on the hook, you need to slowly wind the line. To that end, you should use the command /z 3 on the InfoHUD (2). When the winding is proceeding correctly, you can see the icon of the fishingman with a green arrow on the InfoHUD (3), when the fish is stronger and it unwinds the line from the reel, you will see the red arrow on the InfoHUD, then you need to use the command /z 3 again (2).
After a successful towing, there will appear an information about the fish you caught in the local chat (1) and you will get a model to your inventory from an object called WZW_Panel_Glowny (2). In order to get your fish working, you should wear it for a few seconds (your avatar will pose to the picture) then it will download its weight and you can drop it into any water in SL. The object has a polish name but when you put it on the ground and take it again to your inventory it will change its name for polish - english name with its weight. For example Karas/Crucian_0.458kg
Thanks to using the bankstick, you have the possibility of fishing with 2 fishing poles!
