The float method - the fishing pole BAT/POLE type
What is necessary:
- The InfoHUD
- The fishing pole of type BAT/POLE 5m
- The Standard line 0.18mm
- The Float dx 5gr
- The Hulled barley bait - BaitBox (Hulled / Peczak)
Assembling the set:
- Put the InfoHUD on
- Put the fishing pole BAT/POLE 5m type on
- Put the line, the float and the bait BaitBox (Hulled / Peczak) on the ground
Attaching the line
Now you have to attach the line to the fising pole. While holding the fising pole, click on the line (1) and write in local chat the command /naw (2)
in time no longer than 10 seconds from the clicking. If the command is done right, in the local chat should appear the information about winding the line around the fishing pole. (3). A whole opearion looks as follows:
You should attach the line once in a while. After some time it will lose its durability. Only then you should change it. To detach the line, write the command /odw in the local chat while holding a fishing pole in your hand. Durability of the line can be checked by clicking yellow inscription test on the InfoHUD.
Attaching the end line
When the line is attached to the fishing pole, there is time for the end line(in this case - the float). The float should be attached to the fishing pole like the line:
Click on the float (1), then write a command /doc in the local chat(2). When the operation is done right, in local chat should appear the inforamtion about that (3), on the InfoHUD will appear the information about the end line (3), and the float will be attached with a fising pole by means of the line (3).
From now the float will be attached to you and will follow you. When you finish fishing, you have to (!) dismantle the float and hide it in your inventory.
To dismantle the float, write in local chat the command /odc while holding a fishing pole.
Putting the bait on
When your fishing set is ready, it’s time for a bait. Click on the BaitBox (Hulled/Peczak) (a jar with hulled) (1), then click on the float (2).
ATTENTION – To put the bait on, the set should be on the bank (not in water). After you put the bait on correctly, in local chat should appear the information about it and on the InfoHUD will appear the name of the bait and the icon of the bait you put on (3).
Using the floatzoom
The floatzoom is the device attached with the InfoHUD, which enable you to see the float better and accordingly good signalisation of the biting.
There are 2 floatzooms on the InfoHud, click on one of them (1), then click on the float attached to the fishing pole. (2). After it is done right, in local chat will as usual appear the information about that and the icon of the floatzoom will change.(3).
Operating on the fishing pole
You can operate on the fishing pole in section sterowanie on the InfoHUD.
You can see here 5 abbreviations and you can set values for 4 of them. Explanation:
/r - throw – it throws the set with fixed strength in the direction that avatar looks at.
/z - winding – wind the set with fixed velocity.
/g - ground – it sets the distance between the float and the hook in metres (it works only while using this method of fishing)
/h - brake – it sets the brake of the reel in kilogrammes (it works only with fishing poles with reels, the brake should be set below the line’s durability)
/t - cut – it cuts the fish while biting. (in the case of BAT/POLE type fishing poles – so without a reel, the cut results in pulling the set out the water)
Fishing!
Come up close to the water, look with your avatar in the direction you want to place your set (1), using + and – buttons set /r to 10 (2), approve it to throw the set (3).
After the throw is done right, the float will fly into the water (1) and on the InfoHUD the floatzoom will change the icon (2).
ATTENTION! While the float is in the water, the name and the icon of the bait is not shown on the InfoHUD (3), so to check if there is a bait on the hook you should take the set out of the water.
The bite!
When the set is in the water, you can expect the bite. 5 seconds before the bite you will get the information about it. In the local chat appears a word Bite! (1) and the icon of floatzoom linked with a float will blink yellow (2).
At this time no actions should be made.
After 5 seconds real fish bite will take place. You should watch the float (3) and when you suppose that in this moment fish can have a hook in its mouth
(for example the float disappears under the water), you should press the command /t(4) with the aim of cutting the fish. If you are successful in cutting the fish, you’ll see an information about that in the local chat (5). It could happen that we lose the fish during towing it, an information about that will also appear in the local chat, then towing will be stopped and to pull out the set from the water you need to write a command /t in the local chat.
After a successful towing, in the local chat will appear an information about the fish you caught and you will get a model to your inventory from an object called WZW_Panel_Glowny. In order to get your fish working, you should wear it for a few seconds (your avatar will pose to the picture) then it will download its weight and you can drop it into any water in SL.
